Ocean Resort Casino Hosts Grand Opening in Atlantic City

The always exciting Atlantic City getaway got ramped up a couple notches this weekend with the opening of its newest luxury hotel—the Ocean Resort Casino. After new ownership purchased and renovated the vacated Revel hotel, the 60-story resort opened its 1,399 rooms for business with gusto and style. After a four-year absence from Atlantic City’s boardwalk, the building has been completely reworked—from its floor plan to its restaurants, its conference spaces and its spas.

The resort had a soft open on Wednesday but followed up with a festive celebration on Thursday which welcomed guests like celebrities Mark Wahlberg and Jamie Foxx as well as Atlantic City’s mayor.

Guests spent opening night enjoying the 20-acre, beachside property that runs along Atlantic City’s boardwalk. On the hotel floor, a 138,000-square-foot casino with over 99 table games, 1,945 slot machines, and the new, recently legalized draw of sports betting welcomed the curious and cavalier alike. Its premier spa, Exhale, caters to those looking to refresh, relax and cleanse. The resort has no shortage of great eats, with 16 restaurants that range from classic casino buffets to elite dining. Whether for burgers, bars, Asian-style noodles or Italian gelato, the restaurants offered exciting opening day venues for both visitors and locals.

The Ocean Resort Casino hopes to attract major events to its 6,000-seat Ovation Hall. For its inaugural year, the resort will host comedians like Wanda Sykes and Wayne Brady, while also hosting tribute bands and boxing bouts. The resort has added its own personal touch to Atlantic City’s nightlife with new beach clubs and nightclubs to explore.
