Montclair is well-known for its foodie hotspots, eclectic art scene and don’t forget an array of fashionable boutiques. There also just so happens to be a new player in town, bringing an avant-garde edge to S Fullerton Ave.
Dody’s Dresses was founded by store owner Duha Khaddash in an attempt to give women access to unique, one-of-a-kind gowns that you can’t find anywhere else. In 2007, Khaddash was diagnosed with breast cancer and was forced to put her fashion dreams on hold. Two years later, Khaddash was cured and ready to venture out and start a business of her very own.
After strolling the streets of Manhattan, Khaddash knew she needed to open up an international boutique that provided the same care and quality found in New York stores, right here in New Jersey. Today, every piece at Dody’s Dresses is hand-selected by Duha and her two daughters, Dana and Shahed, who take into account different sizes, material and style.
This Saturday, Dody’s Dresses will be celebrating their grand opening. The event is from 12 p.m. – 5 p.m. with food from Montclair’s Bistro 18, music, step and repeat wall, along with a 10% discount on all items.
Dody’s Dresses is located at 24 S Fullerton Ave and for more information, please visit their website.
