For generations, the Crincoli family has been defined by craftsmanship, a lineage of carpenters whose roots trace back to Italy. When Peter Crincoli arrived in the United States in 1962, he brought more than ambition; he carried the skill and tradition of his ancestors. “By the time he was 20, he started Crincoli Woodwork Company,” recalls his son, Daniele. What began as a modest workshop grew steadily under Peter’s hands. Today, Crincoli Kitchens and Bath occupies the same property where it all began, now transformed into a sprawling 16,000-square-foot facility. “This is the building we’re in right now,” Daniele says with pride.
Daniele’s own journey into the family business wasn’t always certain. “Until I was about 15 or 16, I wanted to be a priest,” he laughs. “I was an altar boy all the way through.” But life had other plans. A summer spent helping his older brother with construction shifted his path. “From there, I knew I was going to go right into the family business.”
Since 2002, Daniele has carried forward the Crincoli tradition, blending old-world craftsmanship with modern design. It’s a story of heritage, hard work, and the enduring power of family, and legacy.

Daniele Crincoli & Barbara Martorelli from Crincoli Kitchens
Homeowners across the tri-state area are grateful that Daniele Crincoli chose to carry on his family’s legacy. Much of the business thrives on referrals, a testament to decades of trust and quality. “If somebody wouldn’t use my father, his clients would say, ‘You’re not going with Crincoli?’” Daniele shares with a smile. “It’s the only way to go if you want that excellence, that detail, the care. Customer service is really what our business is.”
Today, Daniele continues that tradition, offering highly personalized remodels of the spaces we use and love most. Kitchens and baths aren’t just rooms, they’re reflections of personality and lifestyle. “We’re not replicating this kitchen,” he explains of the design process. “It’s an interpretation and reflection of the homeowners personality, how they want to interact, meet, and talk with loved ones and guests, it’s about gearing everybody’s personal space to them. That’s something we do well, and I take pride in that.”

The planning process is intensive, requiring hours of collaboration and attention to detail. But for Daniele, the reward is worth every moment. “When you see their face when it’s all said and done, it’s worth everything. They love it. At the end of the day, that’s all we want for our clients.”
Barbara Martorelli, designer for Crincoli Kitchens and Bath, brings decades of her own experience to the design table and echoes Daniele’s sentiment about personalized style. “You can’t cookie-cutter good design,” she shares. Their recent collaboration with Jamie and Jason on their kitchen remodel is a prime example of that. After an initial meeting that spanned hours, Daniele was able to ascertain the couple’s likes, needs, and desires for their home. “It evolved organically,” he explains, “one detail at a time from visits to the house.” Jokingly noting that there were “150 different iterations,” Daniele says that the design “process was to really get from the bigger idea and scale it to fit the space and function properly, and then to integrate that ‘Old World Modern’ look that Jamie was trying to embrace.”

In order to bring Jamie’s vision to life, Daniele would first have to make some major revisions. “The first challenge was Jamie wanted a large hood–a focal point in the kitchen,” he says. “We needed an island that worked perfectly in the space, so we custom-designed a floating, table-style island that serves as both seating and storage. Elevating the cabinetry off the floor allows light to pass through, creating an open, airy feel that makes the room look and feel larger.” Daniele adds, “It’s got to be functional, it’s got to work, and even better, it has to look good.”
In addition to making sure the hood would not overwhelm the space, Daniele and his team “changed the window, bringing in more light,” a measure which adds a more expansive feel to the room. In order to maximize storage, Daniele “saw a space under the stairwell that wasn’t being utilized” and thought “we could bump this out and create a walk-in pantry,” which is just what he did. These architectural changes, complete with an arch incorporated between the kitchen and mud room, entirely transformed the space and delivered exactly what Jamie and Jason had envisioned–and more.
“The customer has to trust you,” says Daniele. “Jamie and Jason trusted us a lot; it got to the point that they said ‘whatever you say, we’re doing.’ It’s good to have that confidence from the customer. It’s rewarding.” With such a storied and solid past, Crincoli Kitchens & Bath is looking ahead to a bright and bold future. As customers like Jamie and Jason can attest to, Crincoli Kitchens & Bath can be trusted to deliver. From the Designer of House on Lucy Lane
From the beginning, my intention was never to erase the home’s past, but to honor it. Although the renovation was extensive, preserving—and reintroducing—traditional character was essential. And when I say reintroducing, I mean intentionally and unapologetically. Every detail was considered: bespoke mouldings and plasterwork, nuanced paint selections, wide-plank flooring. Each choice was deliberate, layered, and rooted in craftsmanship.
My philosophy has always been to design a home you want to be in—one that feels so attuned to your aesthetic and lifestyle that leaving it feels unnecessary. Throughout Lucy Lane, that vision takes shape through symmetry, soft curves, reeded glass, and custom reeded cabinetry by Wood-Mode—details that create rhythm, warmth, and permanence.

There were, of course, non-negotiables. Marble was one of them, sourced from ABC Stone in Brooklyn. What drew me to ABC was not only the quality, but the transparency—you can view their inventory live, at all times. I selected our stone without ever seeing it in person, which, for me, was a leap of faith. Plaster was another essential element, sourced from Arkada Mouldings, whose work brings an irreplaceable softness and depth to the home.
My collaboration with Daniele and the team at Crincoli Kitchens was foundational to this project. From the start, I knew this was the partnership Lucy Lane required. Daniele didn’t just help design the kitchen—he helped shape the house as a whole. His attention to detail, refined sensibility, and ability to translate abstract inspiration into tangible design are unparalleled. The kitchen, in particular, feels profoundly personal. It speaks my language entirely: the warmth of the palette, the richness of the dark wood cabinetry, the way light moves through the space. The plaster hood is one of my favorite elements—sculptural, understated, and unlike anything I had personally seen before.

My name is Jamie-Rae Lawrence, and I’m the designer behind The Lucy Lane Project. Design has always been deeply personal to me, and Lucy Lane reflects that—an ongoing exploration of how spaces can feel both intentional and lived-in. While this project may be new, it isn’t my first. Before Lucy Lane, I brought the Waterfront Farmhouse Project to life, learning how much meaning can live within the details of a home. This work is a continuation of that journey, one that’s still unfolding. A vision that continues to take shape beyond these walls.
