This Sunday, October 13th, jeweler Kendra Scott will celebrate the life of her dear friend Holley Rothell Kitchen who passed away in 2016 from metastatic breast cancer. As many of you know, October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and Scott has since continued Holley’s legacy by deeming the 13th “Holley Day,” in which Kendra Scott stores throughout the nation will participate in an all-day fundraiser.
During Holley Day, 20 percent of all purchases (in-store and online) will benefit Inheritance of Hope, an organization that helped Holley during her journey. Inheritance of Hope hosts retreats for families who have a member with metastatic breast cancer, among other important efforts. Throughout the entire month of October, 20 percent of select jewelry styles will go to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation and for every piece purchased, Scott will gift a piece of rose quartz jewelry and a handwritten note to a woman touched by cancer.
Since 2016, Kendra Scott has impacted 50 families and invested over $793,000 for breast cancer research and support. This year, she’s set a goal of raising over $250,000 in order to fund a research grant for Dr. Fuqua of the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, as well as bring in an additional $150,000 for Inheritance of Hope.
If you’re interested in attending a Holley Day event in the New Jersey area, the Kendra Scott store at The Mall at Short Hills will be hosting their Holley Day this Sunday, October 13th, from 12pm-6pm. Along with an array of jewelry, there will be sips and sweets for shoppers to snack on. To RSVP, please click here.
