A Labor of Love for Owners: Autocouture Motoring

Business works best when the proprietors approach a day at the office like a day at the beach – or as an endeavor that they simply love doing. So a hobby turned into a business bodes well for both the customer and the business owner. Autocouture Motoring has just that origin story.

Thomas Limatola, Autocouture’s first technician and current CEO, has this life in his blood. His father, godfather, and grandfather, all respective masters in different areas of automotive technology, groomed and instructed the young one to the ways of old school craftsmanship, honor, integrity, and work ethic from an early age. Many years later, Limatola brings those timeless lessons to Autocouture. Their specialization in BMW and European autos such as Mercedes-Benz, Porsche, Ferrari and Lamborghini, and Mclaren, has become a beacon in the aftermarket industry over the past 11 years. However, the significant uptick in the vehicles that the team services do not have their business operating any less down home. “You are never a number,” says Autocouture’s mantra.

The same goes for the queue of vehicles that punch in and out on a daily basis. “Customer cars are treated as if they were our own with the utmost care and attention to detail,” says AC’s Facebook page.

Of course, there’s much more involved in bringing your car home than just good intentions. In operation since 2009, the team at Autocouture Motoring has 94 years of combined experience in the automotive service and modification business.

In the trenches, Autocouture has three BMW Senior Master Mechanics with over 38 years of combined experience, who are responsible for the ever expanding technical and mechanical workload, training, and service department, whose acumen and experience surpasses dealers 10 times their sheer size.

Under Limatola’s leadership, the company has grown and expanded at a consistent rate over the past years expanding its BMW roots to other go-fast monikers like Ferrari, Porsche, and Mclaren. As one of the BMW Master Mechanics on staff, BMW obviously encompasses the brunt of his knowledge base. Schooled in highly advanced BMW dealership work and a graduate of BMW’s own elite CTG STEP training school, it didn’t end there for Tom. A life dedicated to knowledge and understanding has added to a resume impressive for his age, the past 6 years spent as a professional motorsport race mechanic, engineer, car and crew chief in IMSA, with a few world championship trophies to his name, none of which are proudly displayed, echoing his humble upbringings. Limatola legs out the details like a walking encyclopedia. “So feel free to ask him anything, literally anything, just make sure you’re sitting down for the answer,” jokes AC’s Facebook page.

In turn, an unmistakable feeling of belonging emerges from a teacher-like mechanic who loves to share. The whole package, though, has Limatola and the team immersed in the lifestyle of speed, luxury and performance and runs their understanding that much deeper.

A 13,000 square foot indoor, temperature controlled facility provides a pretty good foundation too, and out of reach of the elements and unwanted engagements, vehicle safety is ensured.

The central location won’t have your arrival wanting either. Located in Bergen County, the Garden State Parkway, Route 4, and Route 208 allow you to make haste, and the George Washington and Tappan Zee Bridges are only 20 and 10 minutes away respectively.

So no need to hesitate, their doors are always open. AUTOCouture Motoring is located at 15-01 Pollitt Dr #8a, Fair Lawn, NJ 07410 and can be reached at (201) 666-3500 and https://autocouturemotoring.com
