Alba Vineyard: The Perfect Setting

Alba Vineyard, a 93-acre estate that completely transports you to the hills of California.

The vineyard is located in Warren County, which borders the Delaware River. With Pennsylvania to its West, the New York City metropolitan area to its East, and the Poconos to its Northwest, wherever you are located, it is definitely worth the visit.

According to their website, the Alba Vineyard philosophy is “one of simple sustainable agriculture; the vineyards are carefully managed to preserve the good earth that nourishes them.”

When you enter, you walk through the tasting room, which also serves as a showroom for their selection of wines, to a beautiful pavilion surrounded by acres of valleys. There was plenty of seating where people could enjoy a live band and freshly made wood-fired pizzas, charcuterie, and wine flights.

We walked through the fields of grapes up to a plateau overlooking the vineyard and river valley for the special event that day. The peaceful hilltop was set up beautifully with tables and umbrellas to admire the views as well as listen to an outstanding guitarist. Four stations consisted of a glass of wine with a food pairing. We started with Grand Reserve Dry Riesling paired with a small arugula salad. Next was a Grand Reserve Chardonnay paired with a crab cake slider. The third station had a Grand Reserve Pinot Noir paired with a crostini. Then last was Cabernet Franc with meatballs.

Alba Vineyard is a family-owned business, shown in the amazingly fresh homemade food and wine. The family worked the event, which gave the place a home-like feel.

After the four stations, we went downstairs to share one of their signature flights which are served daily and enjoyed some more live music. The wine was so good that I could not leave without bringing home a bottle of their Riesling reserve and Cabernet Franc. I typically only go for red wine, but their Riesling was so good that I had to.

Alba Vineyard is the perfect setting for any private event. Whether you have a small birthday celebration under the pavilion or host a large wedding in a tent in an open field, the scenic views of the valleys make for a perfect venue.
