Hollywood icon John Cusack will be performing live at NJPAC with a screening of his iconic 1989 romance, Say Anything.
In Say Anything, Cusack portrays Lloyd Dobler – an eternal optimist who falls hard for “a brain trapped in the body of a game show hostess,” played by Ione Skye. Say Anything was ranked by Entertainment Weekly as one of the greatest modern movie romances and secured its spot at #11 on a list of the “50 Best High School Movies”.
Say Anything was Cusack’s big break and he later went on a 70-film career with other leading roles in contemporary classics like High Fidelity, Grosse Pointe Blank, and Being John Malkovich.
Watch Cusack perform at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center on Friday, June 22 at 7:30 p.m. Located in downtown Newark, NJPAC has the most diverse programming and audience of any performing arts center in the country, and is the artistic, cultural, educational and civic center of New Jersey.
